ALL DANCERS FREE ENTRY TO IMPROV SECTIONS
We have decided to include the Improv in the Rego Pass this year, which means there is no need to pre-register and everyone can decide to do this on the day before awards. It will be the same format as always and heaps of fun! this section involves creating and executing movement spontaneously, without any premeditated moves. Dancers competing in this will all be on stage together and not know the song being played ahead of time. The DJ will simply select a song at random. Length will be no more than 1 minutes and 30 seconds per song.

MR & MISS GET THE BEAT
Its all about the Glitz and Glamour in these sections. Shine bright and entertain your audience in a brand new section where entertainment matters just as much as your technique! This will be performed just prior to improv sections and awards at each age group and regional. A complete scorecard and major sponsored prizes including title of MR or MISS Get the Beat 2019!! (scoring – Technique 30, Performance Skills and Entertainment Value 25, Wow Factor (Do you command the Stage) 20, Choreography 15, Costuming 10)
TIME LIMIT 2.45, Can be a repeat dance.

GENERAL
Competitors Enter at OWN RISK, GTB Pty Ltd and its Directors/Staff accept no responsibility for any accidents or injury to any dancer, audience member or anyone else at any time.

2020 REGIONAL VIEWING FEES
All solo/duo/trio sessions there will be NO CHARGE for spectator viewing
All group or special event sessions there will be a small door charge for viewing

DIGITAL PROGRAMS ONLY FOR 2020 REGIONALS
In 2019 we will be printing less paper and doing our bit for the environment. All Regional programs will be digital! We will still email out a draft copy (for checking and alterations), a final version, and also posting a final version on the website and on our monitored app “GTB Dance”. The Finals Program will still be printed in A4 size.

MUSIC UPLOAD
As we did in 2019 we will be asking for Music to be uploaded to a dropbox that we send out individually for each event. This dropbox will also contain your judges audio feedback after your child dances on stage. The process for this will be emailed to you closer to the event time.

FIRST AID
BE SAFE and come prepared! Not all venues have the facilities for ice-packs etc
Each Studio (entered in groups) MUST provide their own first aid person, ice, and first aid kit. GTB Staff are not responsible for providing any first aid equipment or ice/heat products.

REFUNDS
We DO NOT provide refunds for change of mind, or clash with another competition or commitment. If you have made a mistake (e.g. double entries) or the dancer is injured (with proof) we may be able to transfer to another regional – if a refund is accepted we will provide this at the event ONLY.

FINALS QUALIFYING
From 2020, we are making some exciting positive changes for everybody involved. After the continued overwhelming positive feedback and gratitude from families for our finals awards system we will be implementing a similar structure for our regional tour, therefore increasing our generosity towards competitors.

NEW REGIONAL AWARDS SYSTEM
All solo sections: 1st place: Custom GTB Trophy, 2nd/3rd place: GTB Custom Mega Medal
4th place onwards (eg everyone else in the section): Custom GTB medallion to match awarded score ranking given by the judge
HIGH GOLD (0-80) PLATINUM (81-90) DBL PLATINUM (90-95) DIAMOND (95-100) (BLACK DIAMOND AWARDS ARE EXCLUSIVE TO GTB FINALS)

HIGH GOLD will qualify you for Starz division at GTB Finals
PLATINUM will qualify you for National Finals Competition at GTB Finals
DBL PLATINUM will qualify you for National Finals Competition at GTB Finals plus the prestigious Champion of Champions
DIAMOND will qualify you for National Finals Competition at GTB Finals plus the prestigious Champion of Champions

TOP 5: If you make the Top 5 of your age group you qualify for TOP 5 DANCE OFF at GTB Finals + Champion of Champions (if not already qualified)
TOP 10: MAY qualify for Champion of Champions also – but only under Adjudicator discretion

If a dancer receives different score rankings for different solos (eg HIGH GOLD for Lyrical and PLATINUM for Tap) it will come down to the teachers discretion and consultation with GTB Directors as to what level to compete at finals.

All CHAMPION of CHAMPION qualifiers MUST enter the top level of competing at GTB FINALS

For Solos/Duos/Trios you will compete at Finals as at the age you first qualified and entered finals in the 2020 season (irrespective of age at next regional – unless you did not enter at the time of qualifying younger)

DUOS/TRIOS
For 2020 we have 1 section available per age group. All Duo/Trios will be in the one section and you will be allowed to enter only one duo or trio per dancer.
