QUALIFYING & RESULTS
All 1st place and selected elevated additional dancers (at judges discretion) qualify
When awards are conducted at the end of an age group, we will announce Regional Championship Qualifiers, top 5, Runner Up and Winner.

For large regionals where we hold a separate Championships session:
When you qualify you will be asked to register (for free) for the Championships.
In the event of a competitor winning more than one section (eg Jazz & Tap) they can decide which dance to do in the Championship, and the 2nd place winner from the other section is elevated as well. In the event of a competitor winning above their age group – eg an 10yr old winning a 12&U section – they can still dance in the correct age Championship. A competitor can only dance once in any Championships and it must be the same routine as qualified with. It is all styles vs all styles, best of the best.

At smaller events (2-3 days) we simply call out the Championship qualifiers from the scoring of the sections and do not run a stand alone Championships section (e.g. they don’t dance again)

All dancers that qualify for Regional Championships AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY for NATIONAL FINALS CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

TOP 5 DANCE OFF
All competitors that qualify for top 5 at their regional are eligible to compete in “Nationals Top 5 Dance off” restricted to only those that make top 5 at regionals throughout the year. This section will have major cash prizes and will truly be an Elite competition!

JUDGING
Two Judges (where possible), combined scores up to 200 (100 if one judge), based on Technique (Feet, Arms/Hands, Body Line), Stage Presence, Impact, Style (suitability to genre), Choreography.

We run championship sections at the end of the competition and each champion will receive a huge trophy, crown, gifts, and the title, whilst all competitors will get a prize as recognition for qualifying.

GTB National Winners are able to compete and win at Regional and National levels in the following years. If they happen to win at National level the year after they win they will present the Major Prize (USA trip) to the next highest scoring dancer in their section.

A regional winner (Highest Scoring Soloist) is eligible to win a National Finals Major Prize and vice versa.

The winners of the Major Prizes (if the trip is a flight) must be able to make it to the take-off destination the following year, eg if leaving from Brisbane you will be expected to get your own way to Brisbane for the flight. Anyone accompanying the winner(s) of the Major Prizes (if they are flights) must pay their own way there, including flights, accommodation, transfers, etc – but we will make it easy for you and combine a lot of the cost.
