We have created “The Finals” to bring all the dancers together at a world class facility to truly end the year with a bang!

Our GTB Tour Stop events will remain the same as they have always been with big prizes, great atmosphere, and heaps of fun! And by entering a tour stop you are not committed to entering our Finals, we just want to be able to provide a chance for all dancers from interstate to compete against each other for a National GTB Title.

NEW IN 2017
GTB STARS CATEGORY – A NON-NATIONAL TITLE COMPETITION FOR ALL THOSE THAT DONT RECEIVE A GOLDEN TICKET AT REGIONALS.

NATIONAL TITLES

ROUTINE CAN BE DIFFERENT TO THE ONE YOU QUALIFIED WITH, BUT MUST BE SAME GENRE

>>SOLOS
SOLOISTS AGE – You will enter the age section based on what age you were when you qualified. for example, if you were 7yrs old and qualified in 8&U, you would be eligible to enter 7&U at Finals. EVERY ENTRY WILL BE CHECKED AND CHANGED IF NECESSARY.

THE FINALS QUALIFYING CRITERIA
Soloists – Attain 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th at any GTB Tour Stop
Additional Solo Entry – All soloists that qualify for The Finals are allowed to enter and perform one (1) additional solo routine. This additional routine may be one that didn’t qualify, a new routine, can replace a already qualified routine. This routine cannot be repeated in any other section or Champion of Champions (if qualified)

THE FINALS STYLES AVAILABLE
Soloists – Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Song & Any Dance, Ballet, Demi Character, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Student Choreography, Broadway Jazz.

>>DUOS/TRIOS
AGE – You will enter the age section based on what age you were when you qualified. for example, if the oldest dancer in the Duo/Trio was 9yrs old and qualified in 10&U, you would be eligible to enter 10&U at Finals. EVERY ENTRY WILL BE CHECKED AND CHANGED IF NECESSARY.

THE FINALS QUALIFYING CRITERIA
Duos/Trios – Attain 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at any GTB Tour Stop
Additional Duo/Trio Entry – All Duo/Trio acts that qualify for The Finals are allowed to enter and perform one (1) additional Duo/Trio routine or one (1) solo routine each, in a different style. This additional routine may be one that didn’t qualify, a new routine, can replace a already qualified routine. This routine cannot be repeated in any other section.

Duos/Trios – Jazz, Tap, Song & Any Dance, Classical, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Student Choreography

GROUPS AGE – As at JANUARY 1, 2017 (same as all GTB Tour Stops)

THE FINALS QUALIFYING CRITERIA
Groups – Attain 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th place at any GTB Tour Stop
Additional “1 for 1” Entry – All studios that qualify for The Finals are allowed to enter and perform one (1) additional group routine per routine qualified with. This additional routine may be one that didn’t qualify, a new routine, can replace a already qualified routine. For example, a studio that qualifies with 5 routines, may perform 10 routines at the finals. A MAXIMUM OF 30 GROUPS PER STUDIO CAN BE ENTERED ONLY (that includes the 1 for 1 entries)

THE FINALS STYLES AVAILABLE
Groups – Any Style (6&U only), Song & Any Style of Dance, Tap, Classical, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre/Cabaret (limited per age group)

GTB Champion of Champions (Soloists) –

GET THE BEAT CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS QUALIFYING
Dancers that have qualified for Championships at a GTB Tour Stop may enter this (can only enter once, and it can be a new routine and genre, but it cannot be used at any other section at Finals). Sections will be split into heats if we receive a large amount of entries in any one section. Heat make-up will be determined by an unique “draw system” developed by Get the Beat.

AGE QUALIFYING (6 CHAMPS SECTIONS IN 2017!!)
Mini (6&U), Petite (7-8yrs), Pre-Junior (9-10yrs), Junior (11-12yrs), Intermediate (13-14yrs), Senior (15+yrs)
The Age section you fall in is based on the category you qualified with at your regional (tour stop) or lower. Example – if you competed in Petite at Perth, then you will compete in Petite at the Finals. For lower – if you qualified as a 12yr old in Intermediate at your regional, then you are welcome to compete in Junior at finals.
Dancers must have performed and received a certificate at Regional Champs to qualify – Simply Qualifying and not performing at Regional Champs does not entitle you to enter this section.

NOTE 1: One entry per competitor
NOTE 2: May be a different routine and style than what you have qualified with
NOTE 3: The routine you choose to perform may not be performed anywhere else at Finals
NOTE 4: There will be Six (6) Champion of Champion Age sections

GTB Top 5 Dance Off (Soloists)

GET THE BEAT TOP 5 DANCE OFF QUALIFYING
Dancers that have qualified for Championships AND made the TOP 5 at a GTB Tour Stop may enter this (can only enter once, and it can be a repeated routine (EXCEPT CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS ROUTINE) from any other section at Finals and any genre). Sections will be split into heats if we receive a large amount of entries in any one section.

NOTE 1: One entry per competitor
NOTE 2: May be a different routine and style than what you have qualified with
NOTE 3: The routine you choose to perform may be repeated once at Finals, except in Champs
NOTE 4: There will be Six (6) Champion of Champion Age sections

GTB STARZ CATEGORY

A MAXIMUM OF 1 ROUTINE CAN BE ENTERED PER DANCER FOR 1ST ROUND
THIS IS A NON-NATIONAL TITLE COMPETITION AT FINALS.

SOLOISTS AGE – You will enter the age section based on what age you were when you danced at the Regional. for example, if you were 7yrs old and danced in 8&U, you would be eligible to enter 7&U at Finals. EVERY ENTRY WILL BE CHECKED AND CHANGED IF NECESSARY.

THE FINALS QUALIFYING CRITERIA
You can only enter this category if you DID NOT qualify/receive a GOLDEN TICKET at any Regional with ANY SOLO. If you received one for JUST a Duo/Trio (and not a solo) you MAY enter this category. Competitors MUST have entered a solo and competed at a regional and did not qualify for National Title Competition.

STYLES/AGES AVAILABLE
This will be similar to regional champion of champions where it is all styles vs all styles in a “any style” section. Age groups – Petite (7-8), Pre Junior (9-10), Junior (11-12), Teen (13-14) and Senior (15+)

CAPPED ENTRIES
If we receive an abundance of entries for these sections, we will split and have rounds, culminating in finals. If you make it through to the next round you can perform a different routine of your choice, same applies if there are 3 or more rounds…
A MAXIMUM OF 1 ROUTINE CAN BE ENTERED PER DANCER FOR 1ST ROUND

ROUTINE
CAN BE ANYTHING YOU CHOOSE. 2.45 MIN TIME LIMIT APPLIES.

SPECIFIC NATIONALS RULES

All Soloists competing for the The Finals Title Category must qualify via the above means. If a Soloist competes at different GTB Tour Stops and qualifies with more than one act in the same style, they may only compete with one of the routines at The Finals in that section (e.g. wins or places at Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast for 12/u Lyrical), However, the dancer may compete with the 2nd routine in the age group above. There will be a separate competition for the Champion of Champions Category held at The Finals, Dancers that have qualified for a GTB Tour Stop Championship may enter this (can only enter once, and it can be a new routine, but it cannot be used at any other section at Finals). Sections will be split into 6 age groups – same as a large GTB Tour Stop such as Sunshine Coast, or Gold Coast. Styles not subject to qualification – Novice, Debut, Improv.

Groups are permitted to compete against themselves if qualified with more than one routine in any section. All 1st place winning groups at the Finals will be invited back for Group Gala awards.

PRIZES

Each competitor will receive multiple Get the Beat style awards just for making it to our Finals, these include; medals, ribbons, dog tags, certificates, dance merchandise, etc.

The Finals (Soloists) winners – Large Trophy & Sponsor prizes
The Finals (Duos/Trios) winners – Large Trophy & Sponsor prizes
GTB Champion of Champions (Soloists) – Oversize Trophy & big prize money or USA trip for each age champion
Top 5 Danceoff (Soloists) – Oversize Trophy & big prize money & Scholarships for certain ages
The Finals (Groups) – Large Trophies for 1st,2nd,3rd. Oversize Trophy for each winning age group champion.
GTB STARS CATEGORY (Soloists) – Trophy & Qualifying for Stars Champs during event

All Champion of Champion participants receive a commemorative award to recognise their achievement.
